February 2019 El papel del aislacionismo en la política exterior y migratoria de EEUU

Trump's immigration policy does not seem to have much to do with real politics, but with electoral satisfaction for 2020, but how did we get to this point? Isolationism has always been present in the U.S. foreign policy perspective, even when globalization expanded after the two world wars and politics started to build upon it and on the communist and terrorist threats respectively.

Now Trump has transformed the vision on immigration into “ideology” in an attempt to “protect the American lifestyle”. The construction of the Wall does not reflect the real foreign and immigration policy of the United States, however, there is a very good chance that it will do so in the future.

Trump's immigration policy does not seem to have much to do with real politics, but with electoral satisfaction for 2020. While isolationism has always been present in the U.S. foreign policy perspective, Trump has now transformed the vision on immigration into 'ideology'. The construction of the wall does not reflect the true foreign and immigration policy of the United States, however, there is a very good chance that it will do so in the future.
